Wednesdays Website Of The Week: MakeUseOf
This is a site that is fun to keep up to date with. MakeUseOf simply report on the best ways of… erm… Making use of.. erm… stuff!
They cover subjects that are computer and gadget oriented, usually pointing you to new ways of doing the same things or new things altogether.
They have a section called “Cool Websites and Tools”. This is great for discovering new websites and/or tools that have recently been launched or are hot topics. Here is a snapshot of my Feedly page on MakeUseOf:
They did an article recently on finding online libraries and maybe the better ones. Worth a read if your a bookworm. Catch it here – MUO – Library Article
Or this one made me smile – Find What Happens To Your Email and Social Networking Accounts When You Die?
Finally another great feature of the site, is their How To section. They are all in PDF’s and written really well. Here are some examples:
- Windows Mobile Phone [PDF]" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-makeuseof-windows-mobile-guide-pdf/">The Ultimate Guide To Your Windows Mobile Phone [PDF]
- How To Build A Great Media Center For Your Home [PDF]
- A Computer Geek’s Smart Productivity Guide [PDF]
- The Easy Guide To Computer Networks [PDF]
