A clever dude called Brandon Roberts has achieved a way of installing or making Android with alongside Maemo on the N900. Maemo is a Linux based software, so I guess it wasn’t a far stretch to get Android running too. At the moment, he calls this a proof of concept. Either way, its very exciting.

There are many hurdles to clear so that all things will work correctly like the camera and other hardware, but I am sure this is a matter of time. Engadget have stated, interestingly, that this is the first somebody has done this with Android. However they are completely wrong. Connect_UTB had Android running on Windows Mobile for the past 9 months. I was using it for nearly six months on my HTC Touch Pro before I bought an Android phone.

Here is a video showing the boot happening.
