I read a story over on Lifehacker, that relayed an article on “Packing A Gun” to get free extra security on your baggage going through airport security. Its a very strange thought to me. However, I can see the logic. I just don’t know how well this would go down in Irish airports.
The idea is simple. You have your baggage full of cameras, laptops, gaming devices and whatever else you “must-bring” on holiday. Well when you declare that you are carrying a gun in your luggage you are automatically awarded higher and free security. After all, they cannot lose that bag.
So the suggestion goes like this – you get a starter pistol that is used at races and sports days. In the U.S, you don’t need a licence to own it. Pack that and declare it and you can have a nice secure feeling. I don’t know if you can own those in Ireland, without a licence. Anyone clarify?

Ha, that’s brilliant, makes sense, security can’t lose a case with a firearm in it. Don’t know bout the Irish airports, there could be a chance you need a license.
P.S im guessing the image on the post inst a starter pistol. LOL
